Honoring individuals and organizations striving to improve the lives of young people through mentorship, leadership and volunteerism.

Dear Friends:

For over 14 years TuTTie’s Place has been trying very hard to help adolescent boys to succeed in foster care. We give them a clean, pleasant residence to live in, and we strive to prepare them to meet society and stand a good chance of getting along as an adult.

Mort Diamond has been with me all along that 14-year road, always giving worthwhile advice as a caring leader and being a committed arm of our program. But this is only the latest of his efforts to help young people. He was tremendously successful in organizing and conducting a super youth track meet for 25 years with some great people, notably Bob and Anne Rothenberg, now retired in Rhode Island. Truly, the East Coast Invitational Track Meet was a benchmark of youth track meets, and tens of thousands of youngsters made it their goal during the summers from 1975 to 1999.

Now, we who have known Mort for some time, want to express our appreciation on behalf of the many youngsters he has mentored.

Mort has really “made a difference” in the lives of so many youth, starting with his own three children. So, we want to not only honor him, but also honor other individuals and organizations in the community that exhibit the same level of leadership that Mort has shown.

“The Mort Diamond You Make A Difference Awards Banquet” will henceforth be awarded to those who have followed the example Mort has given the rest of us.

Please join us in not only honoring Mort for his many years of service to his fellow man, but to raise funds for the continuation of his prime interest, TuTTie’s Place.

We need financial assistance and we are reaching out to those who have known him, and now know of TuTTie’s Place through him.

Please come to our Banquet, in support of those individuals and organizations who strive to improve the lives of young people through mentorship, leadership and volunteerism. And, then contribute to the future of TuTTie’s Place.

I guarantee you’ll have an invigorating time at Coppin State University on Friday Evening, March 16, 2012.

Please respond to Ms. Brenda Campbell at 410-277-9170, or bcampbell@tuttiesplace.org.

Most Sincerely,

Brenda Boyd
Executive Director
