As You See It

All of us bring a unique perspective to our community. That perspective often guides our conduct, language, behavior and frequently defines our path in life.

At TuTTie’s Place, keeping our young men on a productive path is our highest priority.
We believe helping them examine their perceptions is essential to being good caregivers.

The “As You See It” program allows our young men to put theirs perspectives into practical use through film making – providing an excellent way to reinforce planning and time management skills, while also exposing the group to video production and basic computer skills.

With an emphasis on entrepreneurship development, “As You See It” students attend weekly sessions with a professional film maker to learn a great deal about the art and business of video production. With assistance and guidance from their mentor, students are able to work as a team within a professional production studio to learn new skills with cutting-edge editing software and film equipment.

When their current project is complete, it will be a documentary-style collection of footage, filmed and edited in large part by our young men. “As You See It” is an invaluable way for the group to turn introspection into self expression, while simultaneously honing their storytelling skills and becoming familiar with the technical aspects of the television/film industry and beyond.
